New Shoes, Old Shoes, Super Glue

I often harbor objects I have no use holding onto any longer. Shoes with soles filled with holes, canvas uppers riddles with stains, and laces fraying from end to end. But their wear and tear represent a long shared experience and many fond memories as they traveled with me every day.

I pay homage to their soul, may its sentiment stay with me until it disappears on its own--when my new shoes begin to take on the new experiences the future has in store for us.
